Synthetic Works
Merankorii is back with a new album: Synthetic Works.
An experimental sound study about - you guessed it - synthetic works, this limited edition CD release joins two Portuguese one-man-bands, Merankorii and Hulduefni, in a 15 tracks album of original work.
Merankorii fans, specially attendees from Merankorii's concerts, will be happy to know that this is the release that will show you the studio work around the songs I've been presenting live. To satisfy your appetite, here are two videos, the first from one of Hulduefni's tracks on the album, and the other a video from Merankorii live, playing some of the tracks you'll be able to listen on this album.

New album: Rather Than Bored
After a lot of teasing and letting some information slip, it is now, finally, the moment to announce it: Merankorii has been hardly working for two years to produce what now is "Rather Than Bored", a conceptually closed album that marks a (big) change on what Merankorii is.
I'm really happy with the result, and with the fact that, for the first time, Merankorii will be released on vinyl. The album comes both as a Vinyl LP and a CD, so if you're not really a fan of vinyl (or don't have a record player) you can still enjoy this album.

Label: Noori Records, NR021
Edition: Limited to 11 copies
Price: 25€
The first eight orders will also receive extra items hand painted by Merankorii with paintings allusive to the album’s theme, each of them unique.

Noori Records 2009 sampler
2009, the second year of Noori Records existence, is actually the first "complete" year of Noori Records activities. We know that everybody loves a freebie, and with that in mind, we've setted up a free compilation album called "Noori Records 2009 sampler". Leroi
Witte Dood is a sub-label of Svartgalgh Records, focusing on dark music of nearly any kind. Founded in 2009, its releases are much more DIY than those of the latter. Home-printed artwork in a thin plastic sleeve, 3”CDR discs only. Nothing fancy, just great music. And because of the simple, yet nice packaging, they are able to keep the prices low: only € 2,00 each (excl. p&p).
From their first day I knew I had to release something on this label - their concept is... defying. Let me explain: every release of them is a single, one track with 333, 666, 999 or 1332 seconds long (exactly - so 5:33, 11:06, 16:39 or 22:12).
And so... this happened:

A new Merankorii album was released!
In a way to celebrate the equinox, a new album, "The Dancing Moonlight", was released in CD-R format by "Smell The Stench" label, with Merankorii songs remixed by dark ambient project from Kingdom of Bahrain "Serpent's Briar".

Sanguine
Nothing is way too complex, and I never found something as complex as the human mind. But one thing is to understand something complex, the other is de-compexing it in order to transmit it - and that's the rational meaning behind Merankorii's minimalism.
As I've told you before, "Sanguine", a split with Bardic Wisdom, is going to be released in both Cassete and CD-R.
This release is limited to 50 Cassete copies and 50 CD-R's, and is going to see the light of day at the 15th of May, in 12 days! Keep updated...

"Melencolia III" is OUT NOW!
"Melencolia III", the third Merankorii album is OUT NOW!
With a title that shows the inspiration with Dürer's work, Melencolia III, the third Merankorii album, was released today, and, with all the pre-orders that were made (if you're one of those who pre-ordered it, you're going to recieve your copy soon, probably today), more than twenty are already sold.
Many would deverve a big THANK YOU for being who they are and doing what they do, but all of those that helped me to create this album probably know that they are a part of it, so, instead of telling names, I'm just saying: "Thank You".
I have to make an exception to Nekrogoat Heresy Productions' crew, for believing in my work and, by making this their first release, making all this possible.
Many would deverve a big THANK YOU for being who they are and doing what they do, but all of those that helped me to create this album probably know that they are a part of it, so, instead of telling names, I'm just saying: "Thank You".
